Wait for your group to be called
The anticipation builds at the top. Keep your group together, have every waiver ready, and listen for staff instructions. The road down is waiting.

The journey down
Hillside of Horror is not a haunted house. Your night starts aboard a haunted bus, carries you down into the darkness, and leaves you at the entrance to an outdoor trail through the woods.
A different kind of haunt
The uneasiness starts before you ever step onto the trail. You board at the top of the property knowing the bus is taking you farther from the lights—and closer to whatever is waiting below.
Once the doors open at the bottom, your group continues on foot. From there, the darkness, the terrain, the sounds around you, and the fear of what might be just beyond sight become part of the experience.
Your night, step by step
The attraction is designed as one continuous journey—from the moment your group is called to board until you finally reach the end of the trail.
The anticipation builds at the top. Keep your group together, have every waiver ready, and listen for staff instructions. The road down is waiting.
Take your seat, remain seated, and keep the aisle clear. As the bus moves away from the entrance, familiar lights give way to the darkness of the property below.
The bus ride ends where the trail begins. Staff direct your group toward the entrance, but once you move forward, the woods close in around you.
Follow the marked route through low visibility, uneven outdoor terrain, theatrical effects, unexpected sounds, and scares that can come from where you least expect them.
You are not watching the horror.
You are walking into it.
Why it feels different
Indoor attractions have walls, ceilings, and an obvious way forward. Outside, the darkness feels larger. Sounds travel differently. Every branch, shadow, and movement can make you wonder whether something is actually there.
Low visibility changes ordinary woods into an unfamiliar place. The trail reveals only what it wants you to see.
This is an outdoor walking trail with uneven areas. Wear closed-toe shoes, move carefully, and remain on the marked route.
Footsteps, movement, and sounds in the distance make it difficult to tell what is part of the attraction—and what is getting closer.
Theatrical effects and sudden actions are designed to catch your group when your attention is somewhere else.
The descent creates the buildup. By the time you step off at the bottom, you are already committed to finishing the experience.
Bring the friends who claim nothing frightens them. The trail has a way of deciding who leads, who hides, and who screams first.
Bring your bravest people
Hillside of Horror is built for the moment your entire group realizes the bus ride is over, the trail is ahead, and turning around is no longer the plan.
Come ready for an outdoor experience. Dress for the weather, wear appropriate shoes, read the health warning, and complete a waiver for every guest before check-in.
